Today's Community Showcase is for none other than WMB's own Kokobo! Also known as KoboldBeyForge on Etsy and Dawn in real life.
Dawn has taken her keen knowledge of CAD design and 3D printing and combined it with her love for Beyblade in order to create some fantastic reproduction parts for the Beyblade X system as well as making some original parts and X remakes of older Beyblade system parts.
I recently had the pleasure of grabbing some of Dawn's 3D printed bits. A fantastic 1:1 remake of the Hexa bit that performs so closely to the original that its almost impossible to tell the difference, an X remake of the Wide Defence performance tip from the Metal Fight Beyblade system and finally a Rubber Flat bit (original design by CrazyAries, modified by KoboldBeyForge) that uses TPU filament for the flat contact point. I honestly could not be happier with my purchase; the overall quality of the bits is top notch and they perform spectacularly, the Rubber Flat even allows for fantastic flower pattern movements without wearing down as fast as the Rubber Accel bit Takara Tomy released last year.
Currently KoboldBeyForge offers reproduction and custom bits, as well as B-Grade bits if you're looking for a bargain, and Dawn has recently expanded the available products to include reproduction and custom ratchets; I actually had the pleasure of testing out a 6-60 ratchet Dawn had modelled (before the announcement of 6-60 being made for the Dran Brave CX line bey) a few weeks ago at a WPN tournament and it was so fantastically made that the only thing making it an obvious custom part was the all grey look from the filament she used in the printing process.
dawn also plans to expand the product range again to include custom grip attachments and potentially even custom blades however those products are still in the testing phase at this moment in time, however i for one cant wait to see what else she cooks up for us beyblade fans!
