Released by Takara Tomy on January 25th 2025, Golem Rock has fast become a favourite amongst Beyblade fans; with some calling its release a blessing for defence type fans.
Metal Fight Beyblade fans like myself were ecstatic to hear we were getting a "Rock" blade but felt a bit let down when it wasn't part of the Leon family, however all disappointment was thrown out the window when the 35g beast that is Golem Rock was thrown in the stadium against the best I had to offer and stayed standing.
While the stock build for Golem Rock is incredible it really shines when you switch things up and play around with it on different builds, Golem Rock is arguably one of the most versatile blades we've seen in X for a while. Its jagged edges and 6 contact points make it a solid option for static attack builds, its round shape makes it work well in defensive and anti-attack builds and the outward weight distribution means that while its not out-spinning blades like Wizard Rod it can still give them a run for their money.

My personal favourite build for Golem Rock at the minute is Golem Rock 7-60 H. At an average weight of 35g the Golem Rock blade is fairly average in terms of weight so benefits from the increased weight of the 7-60 ratchet and to top it off the high stamina potential of H coupled with its higher burst resistance makes this Balance type build the perfect build for Golem Rock, at least in my eyes.
While the Golem Rock blade is the star of the show lets not forget about the other parts that come with it, the 1-60 ratchet and Under Needle bit.
We've seen 1-60 in action since the beginning of the UX line of Beyblade X and its proven time and time again to be a valuable part for attack type builds, the orange and white design of this particular 1-60 is very nice and wouldn't be out of place on a Phoenix Wing build.
Under Needle is a fantastic bit for low defence builds, it's low height coupled with the flat bottomed gear section that allows for re-stabilisation if the bey its on is knocked hard early on make it a must have bit for defence build fans, but also the pointed tip of the bit means its got high stamina making it great for static attack builds if that's your jam.
Overall I'd say Golem Rock is definitely one bey you don't wanna skip!
See you in the next one!
