Welcome, Bladers, to the first WMB Blade-Day Breakdown!

On March 29th 16 Bladers met at Waylands Forge for the first WMB Ranked Tournament. The event kicked off with Waylands' WPN event regular Nadine winning the Random Draw Prize, UX-13 Booster Golem Rock 1-60 UN, before everyone got stuck in with 5 rounds of swiss format fun before cutting to top 4.

Some notable moments from the preliminary rounds include Marin!'s Impact Drake bouncing back from the brink of a spin finish to get one of the most surprising extreme finishes and take the W for that match, Weyland Forge's own Sven getting some surprising results from a Wizard Rod 1-60 Q build that included an extreme finish against Hyreztrom's Cobalt Dragoon 5-60 E, and Bakuyas, quite literally, coming face to face with an out of control Phoenix Wing blade that suffered a huge burst finish.

The cut to top 4 saw Bladers Hyreztrom, Nadine, Lexy and Akatsuki facing off for the top spot and a chance to win a prize. In round 1 Nadine bested Lexy and Hyreztrom bested Akatsuki to move on to the finals, both semi finals matches came down to the sudden death round with all 4 Bladers relying on their 4th bey to decide their fates. Akatsuki faced Lexy to see who would take 3rd place with Akatsuki proving that an extended hiatus from the world of competitive beyblade didn’t dull his skills at all as the former UK Champ took 3rd place and a BX-39 Shelter Drake Random Booster Select while Lexy walked away with the coveted 4th place consolation prize, a Zuru Toys Metal Machines toy car!

The Finals match between Nadine and Hyreztrom was a nail biting face off with Hyreztrom taking the W and almost blowing the roof off the custard factory with their excitement!
