Hello Bladers! Another thrilling report from the field coming your way today!

On the 26th of April bladers from across the west midlands all came together for the final event hosted by Waylands Forge's own Sven. I think I can speak for everyone when I say Sven's tournaments have been fantastic for the beyblade community in Birmingham and the surrounding areas and if it wasn't for their continued effort for the past 6 months and the advice and guidance they've provided the WMB wouldn't have been half of what it is by now, so we at WMB would like to say a huge thanks to Sven and we cant wait to see them whenever the WMB heads back to the forge!

As a special treat (and definitely not because someone got the drop attack stadium early) Sven lifted the "Hasbro releases only" restriction and gave everyone free reign to use everything except the MN bit so blades like Golem Rock got to see some action in the Hasbro Xtreme BeyStadium. To top it off a massive prize pool was up for grabs with everyone placing 16th or higher getting a prize as well as a hand-painted "Beyblade Bot" figurine and a 3D printed X-EZ Custom Grip from Kobold Bey Forge as additional prizes for first place.

After 5 rounds of swiss and a cut to top 8 we saw blader Android J take 1st place, after going 5-0 during preliminary rounds, and as the first pick from the prize pool he took the highly coveted Dark Perceus B 6-80 W booster along with the rest of his haul. We also saw blader NADPlus take 2nd place after revealing that she doesn't even own a beystadium and just relying on a mix of skill and luck at tournaments.

With all the matches over and the tables packed away it was time to say goodbye to the forge...for now. Waylands Forge will still be hosting WMB ranked events in the future, typically on the 3rd Saturday of the month unless it coincides with another event so stay tuned for announcements in the future.

Until next time bladers!

Jacob, WMB Team Lead
