Blade-Day Breakdown Nottingham edition! BBN Ranked Event 05/04

Hello Bladers! Todays Blade-day Breakdown is all about some of our neighbours to the north east, specifically NeoWire and his first BBN Ranked Tournament at Underworld Games, Nottingham.

I had the pleasure of meeting Neo last year at a Beyblade event hosted by the Norfolk Beyblade team and he said he was planning to get a monthly tournament going in Nottingham and after a house move and finding a supportive venue he's finally done just that! After partnering with the Beyblade Battle Network to run the events as Ranked Tournaments that feed into the BBN national leaderboard, Neo came out strong for his first event pulling in 29 Bladers not only from the Nottingham area, many of whom are regulars at Underworld Games, but from all over the UK.

As with everyones first time hosting there were a few hiccups but Neo pulled through to smash it with 5 rounds of Swiss format fun before cutting to the top 8 for the final round; where local Blader Wrethzz took the top spot and bagged themselves the Corocoro exclusive Metal Coat: Orange Phoenix Feather Blade and a lovely 3D printed trophy that doubles as a spinning stand for the blade.

Despite going 2-3 and having to leave early I can honestly say I had a fantastic day in Nottingham, not only did I get to support a fellow Blader and tournament organiser but I got to catch up with some Bladers I havent seen for a while, meet some Bladers i've only had ther pleasure of talking to online and meet some of the Nottingham locals that are invested in this upcoming local scene.
